![]() Without proper difficulty scaling it's just unneccesarily hard early game but still easy late game. The start in Elite is an absolute pain in the ass and a big issue. ![]() Which from my experience it can't, atleast on bosses. Dying a lot is fine, if it can be avoided. If i have to kite for 10-20 minutes straight atleast make it less painful. Engineers have the most developed and concrete lore surrounding them, being described as technological masters serving the Empire, sent to the world of Torchlight 2 to open up the new frontier. I have to awkwardly attack, then move, then attack, then move, which is much quicker with attack move. The Engineer class is widely considered to be the best Torchlight 2 class, though they aren't without their downsides. And it wouldn't be nearly as bad if something like attack move would be a thing like it is in League of Legends and other MOBAs for example but it isn't. ![]() There is a difference between something being difficult/ challenging and something being badly designed. I would love to continue but dying to a boss over and over again for no real damage dealt is just not fun in the slightest. Can't even use my main spells/ auto attack replacement if i want that charged up, it has been broken since release and never got fixed. "Dealing damage to an enemy"? Sure, Shadowshot does that. 'best' class should theoretically be a max geared berserker, but id say theyre all reasonably balanced, with their own pros and cons, and embermage is probably the easiest one to do well with if you know how to kite. Oh and Outlanders charge bar being broken definitly does NOT help. As said, there is no best class, but in my opinion, Embermage and Engineer are great. Then you might want to try a soft core elite, and if you feel comfortable, go to HCE. So an engineer can access a beserker, embermage, and outlander class skills. You dont need to do a full playthrough, just the first 10-15 levels or so. Theyre the base classes, but with access to every skill from the other classes as well. I don't mind difficult games but when it's simply unfair and unfun something is wrong. Start with a VHC first, just to get a feeling for the higher difficulty. This also works as the best Engineer beginner class in Torchlight 2. How am i supposed to kill bosses if they take no damage while they're surrounded by like 30 mobs? I can barely hit him as an Outlander and the mobs seem to respawn. This Engineer build is all about two handed melee damage. People say that "if it's to hard it's not for you" or "if it's to hard you just suck". This post was edited by Sunlounger on 05:45pmĪLL classes are viable and fun.I know that this has been posted all over the internet before but Elite feels absolutely awful. You can find the basic setup here: and for any further more in-depth questions about classes specs lemme know I've tried just about everything.ĮDIT: A tanking engineer is semi viable in 6man 150 elite dungeons but doesn't have the damage output the outlander does.ĮDIT: My spell outlander is doing roughly 4-10mil damage per cast. The spell trigger gems do not scale properly with bosses armor or resist from a 6 player game from what I've experienced. Ive dedicated almost 1000+ hours into this game And after playing 12 different specs from various classes my opinion for thee best class(note soloing 150 dungeons on elite by yourself are nothing without trying them in a 6 player game on elite where mobs have HUGE increase to their health, HUGE HUGE HUGE armor(my berserker crits for 150k in solo game, crits for 8k in 6 player game),and damage) The best class and spec and build in the game is a Spell trigger outlander focused on stacking DR%, health, and Int.
